Recently had a question regarding the cleaning and disinfecting hard surfaces contaminated with small amounts of blood or other potentially infectious materials.
Sugessted Procedure...
Put on disposable gloves.
Cover puddle of fluid with paper towels or disposable cloths and allow all liquid to be absorbed. Place soiled towels or cloths in red plastic bag. (Use additional soiled towels or cloths in red plastic bag.) Use one hand to wipe up the spill and the other to apply the disinfectant product. This will keep you from comtaminating the bottle or can.
Wipe the surface with Professional Grade disinfectant spray. Place all soild towels and cloths in red bio bag.
Wet the surface with disinfectant spray using the hand that was not used to wipe up the spill. Allow the surface to remain wet for 10 minutes.
Carefully remove gloves by turning them inside out, and place them in the red plastic bag
Close and secure the red plastic bag. Contact local public health authorities for proper disposal.
Wash hands thoroughly with antimicrobial soap.
